A FAMILY UPDATE

Thursday, March 22, 2018
Things have been a little quiet on the blog but I'm hoping to write more since we're in more of a schedule with Lucy. We are over halfway through March and spring is definitely in the air. Its been rainy but there have been some warmer days that promise spring is right around the corner. Out tulips are starting to pop up and the lawn is looking greener everyday. I can't wait to be able to take Lucy out in the warmer weather. So here's a little bit about where we are at!

LUCY
Lucy is about 4 months old now and is changing so much. Shes getting close to growing out of her 0-3 month clothing and is slowly getting chubbier. I love her tiny rolls; I cant handle it! Right now she loves to grunt and sound just like a little pig when she talks to us. She's figuring out how to use her hands and is so so grabby. She'll take hold of anything she can. Since shes figuring out how to control her hands they are constantly in her mouth. Usually both of them at the same time. She's started to giggle just a little and I'm sure that any day we're going to hear her laughing.

DALLIN
We have loved this winter and spending time with our favorite guy. Dallin is going to be getting busier with work and I'm really not excited about it. Lucy and I are really going to miss him coming home at 5 every day. Little Lucy might not see him at all some days when things get really busy and he's out late. I love watching him interact and play with Lucy. You can tell that she adores him. Time with him is becoming more and more precious. We sure love him.

ME
I've been doing pretty good now that Lucy has a better schedule. I've been able to keep up with the house (which honestly I love doing and makes me so happy) and spend a little time doing things I want to. I've realized since becoming a mom that I cant just be a mom. I had it in my head that as soon as I became a mom I could feel fulfilled. However that is not the case. While I love my daughter and am so grateful to be her mother, i still need to pursue my passions. I've been brainstorming what I really like to do and figured I really like interior design. Decorating my home and doing home decor projects really makes me happy. Now i'm just figuring out where to go with that. A blog? Selling home decor or furniture that I've made? Decorating consultations? I'm not sure what direction to head yet but I'm going there.

We love being a family of three and enjoy having Lucy in our home. She brings us so much joy and not a day goes by that we aren't smiling. We cherish the time that we have together even though its not always easy being parents. Our lives are so different now but we wouldn't change it.
